comments & voting disabled

Going to disable comments and voting after noting far too much drama on other people's videos. Its for the best. This is especially true when it comes to trivia where people may get upset about the content (A Christmas video not mentioning Jesus enough to their liking) or the challenge (too easy/hard). So to head off any future debate I'm just not going to allow either comments or voting even if it costs me some network distribution. I starting viewing other trivia related videos and something relatively simple like a typo causes the hate mongers to come out in force, with one bad post having a monumental snowball effect of negativity. Plus I won't have to approve or monitor it and I'm a lazy guy at heart.

I'm going to post another series of videos in a few months because you just can't write trivia non stop without going out of your mind. Best wishes all and I'll see you in a few months.

Delays

Gonna be delayed a a week or so as I am feverishly working to put together a digital scrapbook of hundreds of photos for my mother in law's x-mas gift.... a digital photo frame loaded with custom art and family photos. Its quite an interesting project as both me and the misses are fairly adept at graphic arts using Gimp 2.6. It may inspire future variations. I have the NASCAR episode completely written and I'm 50% done with a very impressive U.S. Civil War episode. See you all in a few days.

Next vids, additional volumes

Next video should be ready by Friday. More than likely NASCAR.

Demand will dictate the need for Vol. 2 of any episode. If it gets lots of views, votes, comments it will get a Vol. 2, 3, etc..

Christmas Theme & Episode

Tis the season. Got the house decorated and my channel as well. Here is a shot of the widescreen view if your display is set right to see it.

First to 1000 views

Surprising development last night... Thanksgiving video reached 1000+ views, most of that in one day. Woohoo! Odd that the Halloween vid did not do the same thing, in fact it got less views on Halloween day than leading up to it. More people out and about and not home with the family and computer near by is my guess.

Basketball posted. Something new coming.

Basketball is up and running. Ka dunka dunk.

Something new in the works. More of an educational alternate version I will call Flash-N-Learn. My own version of digital flash cards to help memory retention and absorption of popular items such as language. My first several volumes will be English/Spanish. I still have to design the interface because I want it to have a different look than the the regular show, but I have already written the episodes.

I may branch into a school age educational series but I don't think it fits the demographic of my show as a whole. But if I get bored enough, yeah probably.

Football test

I yanked down the Football Vol. 1 vid and reuploaded it to test some functionality. I'm still early in the development process here so it should have minimal effect on favorites, search standing, etc..

I've got two more shows written (Music 1990s & Basketball) and I expect to have 1 to 2 more (Country Music & possibly All Sports Vol. 2) finished today.

Should easily break the 1000th view barrier tonight as I am 981 as of this morning. Woohoo!

Christmas will be done sometime in the next 7 days.
